Worship Services

Pastor Mike Jackson

EARLY SERVICE
- in the Chapel at 8:45 AM

This 8:45 AM service is held in the chapel, an intimate space adorned with stained glass windows from the church's original location on State Street.  Music is provided by the Chapel Choir. It is a traditional service with a definite "small church" feel.

LATE SERVICE
- in the Sanctuary at 11:00 AM

The 11:00 AM traditional worship service is held in the spacious sanctuary which hosts a 38-rank Schantz pipe organ, one of the finest in the area.

Come hear the Chancel Choir. The Chimes and Handbell Choir, Brass Ensemble, Men's Quartet, Youth Handbells, Youth Choir, and special soloists also add to this fine atmosphere. Handicap access and assistance is available for the hearing impaired.

Child care is provided for young children at both worship services. Nurseries open at 8:30 a.m. for infants-pre-K in Rooms #103 and #104.

Children in Worship

We believe the Gospel is for persons of all ages and we welcome children in all our worship services. Families with children are encouraged to sit close to the front of the sanctuary so children feel more included in the worship experience.

Worship booklets, “Parenting in the Pew” tips and children’s booklets are available in the narthex and from the ushers. A nursery is also provided for infants and children age three and under.

A short Time for Children is offered each Sunday.  Immediately following Time for Children, children ages four through third grade are invited to Godly Play Children’s Worship, held in the Godly Play Classroom, #116, on the main floor.

Fourth thru sixth graders are invited to worship in the sanctuary with their families.

Children participate regularly as acolytes and scripture readers.
